Box Project

I am studying Journalism and International Relations, for this I am required to read the news a lot. Sometimes I get so involved in the politics of the issues I forget that the people wrapped up in those stories are real.

My interest in journalism is specifically war correspondents. The newspaper enveloping the whole thing represents the media, as it envelopes the story and those involved. The picture in the background represents a specific war correspondent ,Eddie van Wessle, and was taken during the First Chechen War. The soldier represents the regular people involved in the story. The pen represents the correspondents that risk their lives to give a voice to those that have none. The flag represent patriotism, but also how the news is often twisted for political reasons.
